Michelle has always led an active lifestyle, first as a gymnast, then as a ballet and modern dancer. While pursuing a B.S. in Dance from James Madison University, she developed a strong understanding of how cardiovascular and weight training could improve her fitness level in preparation for performances. Physical fitness and movement have always been high priorities for Michelle, and ones she strongly promotes for others.

With over 18 years of personal training experience in San Francisco and Providence, Michelle is eager to assist clients in meeting their fitness goals and leading healthier lifestyles. She believes that exercise should be a priority, a daily habit, and enjoyable. Most importantly, Michelle strives to improve her clients’ quality of life through movement, by incorporating functional resistance training, cardiovascular training, and flexibility into their workouts.

Michelle’s approach to physical fitness is influenced by her personal experience in cardiovascular exercise, weight training, dance, yoga, and pilates. She enjoys helping individuals to integrate exercise and stress-reduction into their daily lives, thereby promoting overall wellness. Adamant about proper technique, Michelle has a gentle way of pushing clients through challenging and innovative workouts, designed specifically for the individual.

Rob Daly
Co-Owner/Trainer Momentum Fitness

Rob has been working as a personal trainer and strength coach since 2004. He holds a Masters Degree in Strength & Conditioning from Bridgewater State University. While at Bridgewater he developed a strong background in exercise physiology, fitness, and human performance both in the classroom and as member of the Olympic Weightlifting team. Rob applied this knowledge as an intern and then assistant strength coach at Boston College from 2008-2009.

Rob is a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Certified Personal Trainer (CPT). His professional experience working with a diverse clientele ranges from training for general health, to rehabilitation, to sports performance.

Rob strongly believes that a person should never stop learning. He regularly attends continuing education events and avidly researches industry trends and current literature. With his passion for seeing his clients succeed, Rob is able to use his knowledge, experience, and energy to create a highly effective workout environment for clients of any age, ability, and background. Rob always customizes his training programs to help his clients meet a variety of goals from improving their quality of life to improving their golf swing.

Lea Marie D’Arminio

Lea began dancing at age 5 and ever since, has led an active lifestyle. New to Providence as of early 2018, Lea works as a dancer, choreographer, dance educator, and fitness professional. Lea first found her love for fitness in 2004 – when she began training in her university gym to supplement her dancing – specifically, to correct muscular imbalances and prevent injury.

Now, Lea is a Certified Personal Trainer through NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) and has been working as a fitness professional, both at home and abroad for over three years.

As a group fitness instructor, Lea pushes her students to challenge themselves. Lea establishes a judgment-free zone in her classes. She strongly believes that a sense of community and group support can help individuals better reach their fitness goals.

As a personal trainer, Lea applies her vast knowledge of anatomy and movement (dance pilates & yoga) to create varied, yet individualized programs for her clients. Lea prioritizes technique, form and exercise variety in her programming.

Lea is adamant about continuing education – and never hesitates to ask more questions in order to learn more. She recently completed a 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training.

Holly Gish
Trainer Momentum Fitness

Holly started her exercise career as a gymnast, swimmer, and runner. She has had athletic training in softball, soccer, lacrosse, tennis, volleyball, skiing, climbing, and archery. From a young age, she realized the value of proper training for the mind and the body. She competed in collegiate swimming, and then realized the awesome effects of adrenaline after graduation, and became hooked on adventure 5ks. With the experience of 4 Spartan and 5 Bold’R Dash competitions under her belt, cardiovascular training and functional movements are at the forefront of her training programs.

Holly has developed experience in the varied fields of one-on-one training, group fitness, nutrition, mind-body, and corporate wellness. She believes in the power of living by example and continually encourages others to move and eat better. She has been teaching and inspiring people to live their best lives through healthy mind, fit body, and whole food for over 12 years.

With a solid background in nutrition, strength, mobility, yoga, and Pilates, her training incorporates functional movements that focus on core strength, proper technique, and developing full range of motion. She enjoys teaching her clients how to move, breathe and eat for healthy and pain-free living. Some of her additional certifications include FMS Level 2, Precision Nutrition Level 1, Senior Fitness Specialist, & KneeHab.

In her free time, Holly is an avid cyclist and enjoys kayaking, hiking, gardening, cooking and hanging out with the kitty. Always ready to offer advice on how to fit wellness into a busy schedule, Holly looks forward to inspiring lives at Momentum Fitness!
