Michelle has always led an active lifestyle, first as a gymnast, then as a ballet and modern dancer. While pursuing a B.S. in Dance from James Madison University, she developed a strong understanding of how cardiovascular and weight training could improve her fitness level in preparation for performances. Physical fitness and movement have always been high priorities for Michelle, and ones she strongly promotes for others.

With over 18 years of personal training experience in San Francisco and Providence, Michelle is eager to assist clients in meeting their fitness goals and leading healthier lifestyles. She believes that exercise should be a priority, a daily habit, and enjoyable. Most importantly, Michelle strives to improve her clients’ quality of life through movement, by incorporating functional resistance training, cardiovascular training, and flexibility into their workouts.

Michelle’s approach to physical fitness is influenced by her personal experience in cardiovascular exercise, weight training, dance, yoga, and pilates. She enjoys helping individuals to integrate exercise and stress-reduction into their daily lives, thereby promoting overall wellness. Adamant about proper technique, Michelle has a gentle way of pushing clients through challenging and innovative workouts, designed specifically for the individual.

Rob has been working as a personal trainer and strength coach since 2004. He holds a Masters Degree in Strength & Conditioning from Bridgewater State University. While at Bridgewater he developed a strong background in exercise physiology, fitness, and human performance both in the classroom and as member of the Olympic Weightlifting team. Rob applied this knowledge as an intern and then assistant strength coach at Boston College from 2008-2009.

Rob is a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Certified Personal Trainer (CPT). His professional experience working with a diverse clientele ranges from training for general health, to rehabilitation, to sports performance.

Rob strongly believes that a person should never stop learning. He regularly attends continuing education events and avidly researches industry trends and current literature. With his passion for seeing his clients succeed, Rob is able to use his knowledge, experience, and energy to create a highly effective workout environment for clients of any age, ability, and background. Rob always customizes his training programs to help his clients meet a variety of goals from improving their quality of life to improving their golf swing.

Holly’s experience spans from one-on-one training, group fitness, and nutrition to mind-body and corporate wellness. She believes in the power of living by example and continually encourages others to move and eat better. She has been teaching and inspiring people to live their best lives through healthy mind, fit body, and whole foods for over 15 years.

With a solid wellness knowledge base spanning nutrition, strength, mobility, stability, and balance, her training incorporates functional movements that focus on core strength, proper technique, and developing a functional range of motion without pain. She enjoys teaching her clients how to move, breathe and eat for healthy and pain-free living. Her additional FMS Level 2, Precision Nutrition Level 1, Senior Fitness Specialist, & KneeHab certifications provide a comprehensive training portfolio.

In her free time, Holly is an avid cyclist and enjoys kayaking, hiking, gardening, cooking and hanging out with the kitty. Always ready to offer advice on how to fit wellness into a busy schedule, Holly looks forward to inspiring her clients to attain their wellness goals at Momentum Fitness!

Sara Proctor

Sara started her active lifestyle at the age of 2 with gymnastics. As a gymnast of 18 years Sara has gained insight into the wellness and exercise science world. With a strong understanding of how different bodies work, she now puts her passion into helping others become the best version of themselves, through exercise. While pursuing her B.S. in Wellness and Exercise Science (with a Minor in Coaching) at Rhode Island College, Sara became a NASM certified personal trainer in 2020, and believes in becoming a role model in the industry. She is currently a Strength and Conditioning intern at Brown University and is working toward her Strength and Conditioning Certification. 

Sara’s one-on-one training is tailored to you and your goals, as she recognizes every body is different and responds to different types of training methodology. With your best interest at heart, Sara incorporates weight training with cardiovascular and core training into individually challenging workouts, to help meet your goals. She enjoys helping clients understand what works best for them. 

In her free time Sara enjoys running, weight training, flipping around on occasion, and spending time with friends and family . With a busy schedule herself, Sara always has helpful advice on how to incorporate physical activity and clean eating into your daily life.
